What makes you a L I O N?
@tayberry32: “I deeply care about the way I make people feel and making sure I do my best to be a bright spot in their day. However, anyone who meets me will quickly learn of my disinterest in social norms of public behavior. In this day and age, I feel like there is an incessant need to appear perfect and put together. In my opinion, it takes a certain kind of fierceness to publicly be a weird ball of a hot mess. Fierce is being able to put aside your pride, what everyone thinks of you, and not take life too seriously. So what if you want to dance in public, wear ridiculous clothes, or go out of your way to brighten someone else’s day? The important thing in this life is to do what makes you happy and try to make this world a little better along the way.”
What makes you H U M B L E?
@tayberry32: “I think the fierceness of my personality is actually fueled by what keeps me humble. Let me explain that a little. I work in the healthcare field as a physical therapist assistant. I constantly see people struggling; whether it be struggling to walk, breath, eat, bathe, the list goes on and on. It becomes so apparent how quickly things can be taken away, like the ability to dance, talk, walk, and enjoy what your body can do. I’m so adamant on enjoying me and the able body I’ve been blessed with (even if I look like a complete fool) because you never know if in the next second you’ll get the chance to do it again. Sometimes there is no tomorrow and I see that everyday. It’s humbling to care for those who can not care for themselves, to see people wishing they would have appreciated what they no longer can do. But it’s even more humbling to see these people fight like hell to have what you’re currently blessed with and not taking advantage of. To hear them be more kind and positive in the midst of their toughest battles than you are on the daily. I am shown everyday how fragile and finite this life can be, but also how to live it gracefully and joyfully.”
I am incredibly thankful for the afternoon I spent with Taylor last week. After traveling around for years and meeting new people around the globe, it’s always sweet to reconnect with someone from your homelands — I’m talking my true stomping grounds. CHEERS TO ALL MY WEB CO GIRLS!!!!
@tayberry32 is shamelessly hilarious and it is SUCH a breath of fresh air, but she is so much more than that. She embraces the beauty in life and her endlessly burning candle always lights those around her. I’m blessed to have her in my pride, as is everyone in hers.
